Whether you are moving locally or long distance you will need to pack your things properly and securely. You’ll want to make sure your things get to their destination in one piece. However, as in many things, so too with moving, we are only as good as our tools and supplies. In order to make your move as stress-free and easy as possible, we made a list of must-have relocation supplies which will guarantee you’re prepared for your moving day. All you need to do is get packing.

Boxes

Don’t laugh. We know it’s obvious but sometimes in a rush people tend to forget things. We would never suggest that you would completely forget the boxes, just that sometimes people forget to bring enough. Make sure you double up on moving boxes Jersey city and get some special boxes if you can. Special boxes can be reinforced or shaped specifically for some item you want to put in them. Don’t be afraid if you have more boxes than things. You can always recycle them later or use them to put your things in storage if you need the extra space.

Packing materials

Sharpies, magic markers or any pen that works reliably. An important but often neglected part of packing is labeling the boxes. That’s why you need a marker. Refreshments

First Aid Kit

Always have a first aid kit with you when moving your home. The movers will be carrying your heavy furniture all day, and you will be handling shard scissors and box cutters. As we mentioned before, moving day is chaotic, so here are some more items you may use:

• a charger
• extra blankets
• an extra change of clothing
• toiletries (toothbrush, soap…)
• toilet paper (or tissues, paper towels)
• a flashlight
• pen and paper
• easy to make meals and drinks (instant noodles, coffee or tea)

Finally, the most important one of all the relocating supplies is the one only you can bring. A positive attitude and strong nerves. Even the best plans tend to go awry, so just take it in stride and relax. As much as it’s possible.
